What about setting out for a trip to Prague?
For learning about the city and its unique atmosphere you will have an ideal starting point: in an attractive place near the center, but at the same time located past the busiest tourist trails. The Sixth Prague district will surprise you with a combination of old and modern architecture and beautiful nature. The secret tip of the people of Prague is: leave aside the most famous places in the historic center, avoid hundreds or thousands of other visitors and locals and come and explore the city differently. For example, on the route from Hradčany to Bubeneč - and do not worry, although you will sometimes get close to busy tourist places, you can comfortably avoid them. Take a look, for example, at the brand new National Technical Library or the ancient Břevnov Monastery, Bílek's Villa, the functionalist Müller‘s Villa or the star-shaped summer house Hvězda on Bílá hora! Discover the local restaurants and cafés and simply enjoy the atmosphere of the capital. Take the most famous route of tram 22 with unique scenery! Do you want to have fun „in the old way“? Then, for example, go on a tour of the Břevnov Monastery or one of the exhibitions in the Hvězda summer house in the game reserve on Bílá hora or take a nostalgic trip by a period tram. On the contrary, you will discover trendy entertainment in the rhythm of today on the illuminated in-line runway in the Ladronka leisure area, or during an excursion to the interiors of Prague's Václav Havel Airport. And if you miss nature, head to the romantic valley of Divoká Šárka, associated with the legend of Ctirad and Šárka! Stará Bubeneč has remained a miraculously preserved village in the middle of the city, despite considerable damage during the socialist era in the 1970s. At that time, part of Stará Bubeneč was demolished to make way for the construction of a Soviet school and new apartment buildings for employees of the Soviet embassy and other Soviet institutions nearby. But even what is left is definitely worth your visit. Here you will find the church of St. Gotthard, the former town hall with the town emblem, the ancient inn in Slamník with excellent cuisine and draft beer, the governor's summer house and many original houses.
